Bobby WieseParticipant
Cyberpunk ‘s launch remains a sore spot as CD Projekt Red begins to take steps in rectifying the disappointing response to its latest title. With development of the game’s multiplayer delayed, the company has shifted focus on extensive bug-fixing. Two large patches are now planned for January and February, while hot-fixes and smaller patches continue to go out. CD Projekt Red has effectively turned the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 into something akin to an early access title as a result, as focus shifts to fixing the existing game before adding more cont

Of course, this world is definitely bigger than Cyberpunk ‘s by a substantial margin. However, that’s not to say anything against the open-world of Cyberpunk 2077, as CD Projetkt have placed a greater emphasis on density and verticality. Players have the option to skip car rides, but often these rides are opportunities to have conversations, check out Night City’s scenery , and just take a moment to relax. In particular, V should take the time to chat with Jackie and Panam, as they’ll both open up and help players feel more connected to t

**Cyberpunk 2077 ** has a vast world with a variety of interesting characters. While V can be an interesting character based on choices made by the player, certain development choices – like Lifepath-specific tutorials – could’ve added to the character’s uniqueness. Later, when V gets into contact with Willie McCoy, V reveals they left the Bakkers because they refused to join Snake Nation. This small interaction is one of the only times the players get any kind of information about Nomad V. There is also a job to get V’s Nomad vehicle back, and players can learn a little more about Nomad V’s history when talking to Takemura before a specific Cyberpunk 2o77 quest , but overall, not much else is sh

As is the case with most Bethesda games, Fallout 4 has a massive world that is an absolute joy to explore. There’s potential, however, for game developers to introduce a new genre into their repertoire: solarpunk, a literary and artistic movement that defies the dystopian leanings of cyberpunk and other “punk” settings in favor of depicting decentralized, eco-friendly, and beautiful societies of the future. Designers looking to build games around the solarpunk genre have a rich array of visuals to draw from – communities with colorful, retro architecture, advanced technology co-mingling with greenery, and plausibly utopian-leaning social syst

Night City is a hectic place, and Cyberpunk 2077 makes V feel rushed to find a solution for the ticking time-bomb in their head. LeGuin and Norman Spinrad have been writing books set in proto-solarpunk societies, where technological progress is balanced with renewable energy and communal living. Writer Jay Springett traced solarpunk’s origins, as a term, to an obscure 2008 blog post, but he attributes the movement’s true beginnings to a 2012 Brazilian short story anthology titled S olarpunk: Ecological and Fantastical Stories in a Sustainable World . Solarpunk stories consciously reject the neon grime of classic cyberpunk and the white sterile corridors of classic sci-fi settings in favor of futures that are vibrant and hopeful, while still feeling tantalizingly plausi
